Supplication after Tarawih Prayer (As practiced in Dar Al-Mustafa, Tarim)

وَاللَّهُ يَقُولُ وَقَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِينُ: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّحِيمِ

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ:﴿ وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌۖ  أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِۖ ﴾ اُدعُوه: نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ

And Allah speaks the truth, the clear truth: I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. “And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.”

نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، حَمْدًا يُوَافِي نِعَمَهُ وَيُكَافِئُ مَزِيدَهُ. يَا رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِجَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ وَعَظِيمِ سُلْطَانِكَ. سُبْحَانَكَ لَا نُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ

We supplicate unto You, O Allah. We beseech You, O Allah, in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious,  the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, praise that encompasses His blessings and rewards abundantly. Our Lord, to You belongs all praise, as befits the majesty of Your countenance and the greatness of Your sovereignty. Glorified are You, we cannot fully praise You as You have praised Yourself.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، كُلَّمَا ذَكَرَكَ وَذَكَرَهُ الذَّاكِرُونَ، وَغَفَلَ عَنْ ذِكْرِكَ وَذِكْرِهِ الْغَافِلُونَ

O Allah, send peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad and upon the family of our Master Muhammad, whenever You are remembered, and whenever Your name is mentioned by those who remember You, and whenever You are forgotten by those who are heedless of Your remembrance.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ، وَالسَّلَامَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ إِثْمٍ، وَالْغَنِيمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ، وَالْفَوْزَ بِالْجَنَّةِ، وَالنَّجَاةَ مِنَ النَّارِ

O Allah, we ask You for the means to attain Your mercy, and the firm determination to seek Your forgiveness, and safety from every sin, and attainment of every virtue, success in attaining Paradise, and deliverance from the Fire.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا، وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَدَعْ لَنَا ذَنْبًا إِلَّا غَفَرْتَهُ، وَلَا هَمًّا إِلَّا فَرَّجْتَهُ، وَلَا دَيْنًا إِلَّا قَضَيْتَهُ، وَلَا مَرِيضًا إِلَّا شَفَيْتَهُ، وَلَا حَاجَةً مِنْ حَوَائِجِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، لَكَ فِيهَا رِضًا وَلَنَا فِيهَا صَلَاح، إِلَّا قَضَيْتَهَا وَيَسَّرْتَهَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ، يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

O Allah, do not leave for us any sin except that You forgive it, any distress except that You alleviate it, any debt except that You settle it, any illness except that You cure it, and no need from the needs of this world and the hereafter, with which you will be satisfied and in which we will have goodness, except that you fulfill it and facilitate it, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنَا رَحْمَةً تُغْنِينَا بِهَا عَنْ رَحْمَةِ مَنْ سِوَاكَ، وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنْ مَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَهُ وَوَلَّاكَ، وَأَشْغِلْنَا بِمَا تُبَلِّغُنَا بِهِ غَايَةَ رِضَاكَ، إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

O Allah, have mercy upon us with a mercy that will suffice us over the mercy of anyone else besides You, and make us among those whom You protect and care for. Occupy us with what brings us closer to attaining Your pleasure, for indeed, You are capable of all things.

ٱدْعُواْ رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةًۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلـمُعْتَدِينَ ۞ وَلَا تُفْسِدُواْ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَــٰحِهَا وَٱدْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًاۚ إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
ادعوه : نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ

“Call upon your Lord with humility and in private; indeed, He does not like the transgressors. And do not cause corruption upon the earth after its reformation. And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good.”

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ، يَا مَنْ لَا يُدْعَى بِهَذَا الْاِسْمِ أَحَدٌ سِوَاهُ، يَا مَنْ لَيْسَ لَنَا غَيْرُهُ إِلــٰه، اُنْظُرْ بِعَيْنِ الرَّحْمَةِ إِلَيْنَا، وَأقْبِلْ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ عَلَيْنَا، وَعَامِلْنَا بِلُطْفِكَ الْجَمِيلِ الْخَفِيِّ، وَافْعَلْ بِنَا مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ، إِنَّكَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَة

We supplicate unto You, O Allah... O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, O You whom no one is called upon by this name except Him, O You whom there is no god but You, look upon us with the eye of mercy, and turn Your noble face towards us. Treat us with Your beautiful and hidden kindness, and do with us what You are worthy of, for You are worthy of piety and forgiveness.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَسَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ اللَّهُمَّ مِنْ خِزْيِكَ، وَكَشْفِ سِتْرِكَ، وَنِسْيَانِ ذِكْرِك، وَالِانْصِرَافِ عَنْ شُكْرِكَ

O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the evils of our souls and from the bad consequences of our deeds. We seek refuge in You, O Allah, from disgrace and humiliation, from removing of Your protection, from forgetting Your remembrance, and from turning away from thanking You.

اللَّهُمَّ أَحْسِنْ عَاقِبَتَنَا فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا، وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ، رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفىِ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

O Allah, make the outcome of all our affairs good, and save us from the humiliation of this world and the punishment of the Hereafter. Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.

 وَافْعَلْ كَذَلِكَ بِوَالِدِيْنَا وَأَوْلَادِنَا وَإِخْوَانِنَا وَأَخَوَاتِنَا وَسَائِرِ أَحْبَابِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا وَمَشَايِخِنَا وَجَمِيعِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

And do the same for our parents, our children, our brothers, our sisters, and all our loved ones, our descendants, our elders, and all the Muslims.

وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْأَسْمَاۤءُ ٱلْحُسْنَى فَٱدْعُوهُ بِهَا. ادعوه : نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ.. يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَنُ يَا رَحِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ يَا مَلِكُ يَا قُدُّوسُ، بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْحُسْنَى، وَكَلِمَاتِكَ الْتَامَّاتِ الَّتِي مَنَّنْتَ بِهَا عَلَى آدَمَ حِينَ عَصَى، فَأَقَلْتَ مِنْهُ الْعَثَرَاتِ، أَقِلْ عَثَرَاتِنَا (ثلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ)

“To Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them.” We supplicate unto You, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, O Most Merciful, O Most Compassionate, O Most Generous, O Sovereign, O Holy One, by Your beautiful names and perfect words, with which You favored Adam when he disobeyed, and You relieved him of his burdens. Relieve our burdens (say three times)

وَتَحَمَّلْ تَبِعَاتِنَا، وَاعْفُ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِنَا، وَجُدْ عَلَيْنَا بِفَضْلِكَ وَقُرْبِكَ، وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنْ خَالِصِ أَهْلِ الْمَحَبَّةِ مِنْ حِزْبِكَ

And bear with our consequences, forgive our sins, and bestow upon us with Your grace and nearness. Make us among the sincere lovers from Your party.

اللَّهُمَّ اقْطَعْ عَنَّا جَمِيعَ الْقُطَّاعِ لِلطَّرِيقِ، وَأَجِّرْنَا مِنَ الزَّيْغِ وَالِابْتِدَاعِ وَالتَّعْوِيقِ، وَاسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِنَا، وآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِنَا، وَكُنْ لَنَا يَا سَيِّدِي مُتَوَلِّيًا فِي جَمِيعِ الْأُمُورِ، وَاشْرَحْ لَنَا الصُّدُورَ، وَنَوِّرْهَا بِنُورِكَ، يَا كۤهيعۤصۤ، يَا حمۤ عۤسۤقۤ، يَا قُدُّوسُ، يَا نُورَ النُّورِ، إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

O Allah, cut off from us all those who would cut us off from the path. Protect us from deviation, innovation, and hindrance. Conceal our faults and keep us safe from our fears. Be for us, O our Master, the Guardian in all matters, and open our hearts, illuminate them with Your light, O.. Kaf Ha Ya Ain Sod, O.. Ha Mim, Ain Sin Qof, O Holy One, O Light of Lights, indeed, You are capable of all things.

قُلِ ٱدْعُوا ٱللَّهَ أَوِ ٱدْعُوا ٱلرَّحْمٰنَۖ أَيًّا مَّا تَدْعُواْ فَلَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَاۤءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىۚ. فادعوه بها ادعوه : نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ

“Say, ‘Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names.’” We supplicate unto You, O Allah...

يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَنُ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ، وَأَنَّكَ مُقْتَدِرٌ وَمَا تَشَاءُ مِنْ أَمْرٍ يَكُونُ، نَسْأَلُكَ بِجَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ وَعَظِيمِ سُلْطَانِكَ، وَنَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ بِجَاهِ نَبِيِّكَ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمَنَا، وَتُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَنَا بِتَطْهِيرِكَ، وَتُفَرِّجَ عَنَّا بِفَضْلِكَ

O Allah, O Most Merciful, belongs to You, and You have the power. Whatever You will, it shall be.  We ask You by the majesty of Your countenance and the greatness of Your authority. We seek intercession with You by the status of Your Prophet, our Master Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family and companions, to forgive us, have mercy on us, purify our hearts with Your purification, and relieve us by Your bounty.

يَا أَحْمَدُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، إِنَّا نَتَوَسَّلُ بِكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَنَا وَيَرْحَمَنَا وَيُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَنَا، وَيُفَرِّجَ عَنَّا وَعَنِ الْحَاضِرِينَ وَجْمِيعِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ. اللَّهُمَّ شَفِّعْهُ فِينَا بِجَاهِهِ عِنْدَكَ (ثلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ) اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ

O Ahmad, O Muhammad, O Abul-Qasim, we seek intercession with you before Allah, that He may forgive us, have mercy upon us, purify our hearts, alleviate our distress, and that of all who are present and all Muslims. O Allah, let him intercede for us by his status with You (three times). O Allah, send blessings upon him, his family, and his companions.

.وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِـىۤ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ. فادعوه: نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ نَسْأَلُكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنَا، فَاسْتَجِبْ لَنَا كَمَا وَعَدْتَنَا إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ، فَإِنَّا لَا نَسْتَطِيعُ دَفْعَ مَا نَكْرَهُ، وَلَا تَمْلِكُ تَحْصِيلَ مَا نَرْجُو إِلَّا بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَحَولِكَ

“And your Lord says, ‘Call upon Me; I will respond to you.’” We supplicate unto You, O Allah. We ask You as You have commanded us, so grant us as You have promised us. Indeed, You do not fail in Your promise. Indeed, we cannot repel what we dislike, nor can we attain what we hope for except through Your power and might.

فَلَا فَقِيرَ أَفْقَرَ مِنَّا إِلَيْكَ، وَلَا غَنِيَّ أَغْنَى مِنْكَ عَنَّا. اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُشْمِتْ بِنَا عَدُوًّا، وَلَا تَسُوءُ بِنَا صَدِيقًا

There is no one poorer than us in need of You, nor richer than You to provide for us. O Allah, do not let our enemies rejoice over our misfortune. Nor let a friend become displeased with us.

وَلَا تَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيَا أَكْبَرَ هَمِّنَا، وَلَا مَبْلَغَ عِلْمِنَا، وَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا مَنْ لَا يَخَافُكَ وَلَا يَرْحَمُنَا، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِوَالِدَيْنَا وَلِمَشَايِخِنَا وَلِجَمِيعِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

Do not make this world our greatest concern, nor the extent of our knowledge. And do not give power over us to those who do not fear You nor show us mercy. Forgive us, our parents, our elders, and all the Muslims.

هُوَ ٱلْحَيُّ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱدْعُوهُ. نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ

“He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him.” We supplicate unto You, O Allah

  مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَۗ. ادعوه: نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ

“Sincerely devoted to Him in religion.” We supplicate unto You, O Allah

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَــٰـلَمِينَ. ادعوه: نَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ

“All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.” We supplicate unto You, O Allah

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ، يَا حَيُّ قَبْلَ كُلِّ حَيُّ، يَا حَيُّ بَعْدَ كُلِّ حَيُّ، يَا حَيُّ حِينَ لَا حَيٌّ حَيُّ، يَا حَيُّ مُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى، يَا حَيُّ مُمِيتَ الْأَحْيَاءِ

We beseech You, O Allah, O Ever-Living, O Sustainer of [all] existence, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor. O Ever-Living, before whom there is no other living being, O Ever-Living, after whom there is no other living being. O Ever-Living, when there is no life, You are Ever-Living. O Ever-Living, who gives life to the dead, O Ever-Living, who causes the living to die.

أَحْيِ قُلُوبَنَا بِأَنْوَارِ مَعْرِفَتِكَ، وَامْلَأْهَا بِمَحَبَّتِكَ، وَبَـهِّجْهَا بِأَنْوَارِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ، وَأَحْيِنَا حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً، وَإِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنَا فَتَوَفَّنَا إِلَيْكَ وَأَنْتَ رَاضٍ عَنَّا

Grant life to our hearts with the light of Your knowledge, and fill them with Your love, and brighten them with Your lights and Your kindness. Grant us a good life. And when You cause us to die, let us die in a state of submission to You, and be pleased with us.

 وَاحْجُبْنَا عَمَّا يُؤْذِينَا فِي دِينِنَا وَدُنْيَانَا وَاُخْرَانَا، وَحُلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ، وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى عَدُوِّكَ وَعَدُوِّنَا، وَتَوَلَّنَا بِؤُلَاكَ، وَاحْمِنَا بِحِمَاكَ، يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ (ثلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ) وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Shield us from what harms us in our religion, our worldly affairs, and our Hereafter. Resolve between us and our adversaries, And support us against your enemies and our enemies, And take us under Your guardianship, and protect us with Your protection, O Most Merciful of the Merciful (say three times). And may Allah send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, his family, and his companions.

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِۖۦ وَمَنْ أَسَاۤءَ فَعَلَيْهَاۗ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّــٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ. فَإِنْ تَوَلَّواْ فَقُلْ حَسْبِيَ ٱللَّهُ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ. دَعْوَىٰهمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَـٰـنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَــٰمٌۚ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ أَنِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

“Whoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.”

“So if they turn away, say, 'Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.”

“Their call therein will be, 'Exalted are You, O Allah,' and their greeting therein will be, 'Peace.' And the last of their call will be, 'Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.’”
