MAN ANA LAWLAKUM

مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا لَوْلَاكُمْ
كَيْفَ مَا حُبُّكُمْ كَيْفَ مَا أَهْوَاكُمْ

Who am I, who am I, who am I without your guidance?
How can I not love you? How can I not want to be with you?

مَا سِوَيَ وَلَا غَيْرَكُمْ سِوَاكُمْ
لَا وَمَنْ فِى الْمَحَبَّةْ عَلَيَّ وُلَاكُم

There is no one but me and no one except you.
My heart is filled with love for no one except for you.

أَنْتُمْ أَنْتُمْ مُرَادِي وَأَنْتُمْ قَصْدِي
لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ فِى الْـمَحَبَّةِ سِوَاكُمْ عِنْدِي

You are who I long for and desire to be with.
There is no one that I love except you.

مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا لَوْلَاكُمْ
كَيْفَ مَا حُبُّكُمْ كَيْفَ مَا أَهْوَاكُمْ

Who am I, who am I, who am I without your guidance?
How can I not love you? How can I not want to be with you?

كُلَّمَا زَادَنِي فِى هَوَاكُمْ وَجْدِي
قُلْتُ يَا سَادَتِي مُحْجَتِي تَفْدَاكُمْ

Each time my yearning for you increases,
Says my heart, “My master, my motivation is strong
to ensure your safety and wellbeing.”

لَوْ قَطَعْتُمْ وَرِيدِي بِحَدِّ مَاضِي
قُلْتُ وَاللّٰهِ أَنَا فِى هَوَاكُمْ رَاضِي

If you were to cut my veins with a sharp knife,
In the name of Allah, I would be content in my yearning for you.

مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا لَوْلَاكُمْ
كَيْفَ مَا حُبُّكُمْ كَيْفَ مَا أَهْوَاكُمْ

Who am I, who am I, who am I without your guidance?
How can I not love you? How can I not want to be with you?

أَنْتُمُ فِتْنَتِي فِى الْهَوَا وَمُرَادِي
مَا رِضَايَ سِوَى كُلُّ مَا يَرْضَاكُمْ

You are the one who fills all my desires and purposes.
There is no pleasure that I desire except that it pleases you.

مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا لَوْلَاكُمْ
كَيْفَ مَا حُبُّكُمْ كَيْفَ مَا أَهْوَاكُمْ

Who am I, who am I, who am I without your guidance?
How can I not love you? How can I not want to be with you?

كُلَّمَا رُمْتُ إِلَيْكُمْ نَهَوْ مَنْ أَسْلَكْ
عَوَقَتْنِي عَوَائِقْ أَكَادْ أَنْ أَهْلِكْ

Each time my love for you fires up, obstacles are always in the way.
Obstacles obstructed me, until I was nearly destroyed.

مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا مَنْ أَنَا لَوْلَاكُمْ
كَيْفَ مَا حُبُّكُمْ كَيْفَ مَا أَهْوَاكُمْ

Who am I, who am I, who am I without your guidance?
How can I not love you? How can I not want to be with you?

فَادْرِكُوا عَبْدَكُمْ مِثْلُكُمْ مَنْ أَدْرَكْ
وَارْحَمُوا بِا الْمـَحَبَّةْ قَتِيلْ بَلْوَاكُمْ

So please help us, as you are of those who loves to help.
And sympathise us with your love, as it frees us from all our misfortunes.
