Hajah Sharifah Khadijah Husien Alkaff

Fondly known as “Khalah Jah” at REVAMP, she is a Specialist Translator working in Brunei Darussalam, a post she has held since 2014, following an illustrious 33 years teaching-cum-counselling career in Singapore and at the Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College, Brunei where she taught English and Communications, while also holding the position of Senior Counselling Officer and Head of Media for the college.

She has also made contributions to the Da’wah Islamiah Centre (DIC), which has produced more than 20 of her booklets. Her book, Be the Perfect Wife, became a Bestseller at the 2014 Brunei Book Fair.

She translated more than 23 Fatwa and other books, and 2 books on Islamic Banking and Finance for the Islamic Bank of Brunei.

Apart from that, Khalah Jah is also a motivational speaker and has been invited to conduct sharing sessions and workshops in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Oman, Melbourne and Brunei, for audiences ranging from Governmental ministries, tertiary institutions, healthcare and childcare sectors, and da’wah organizations.

Academically, she attained her Degree in Psychology & Social Work from the University of Singapore in 1977, and subsequently Diploma in Education also from the National University of Singapore, RSA Diploma (UK) in Teaching of English for Graduate Teachers, and A’level Certificates with Merit in Shariah and Distinction in Usuluddin. She had also attended the Dowra in Tareem, Yemen in 2008.

A single parent of 3 sons, one of whom is mentally challenged and another who has cerebral palsy, this amazing lady was unsurprisingly awarded the Singapore National Exemplary Mother of the Year Award in 2009, presented by the President of Singapore to mothers who have successfully balanced career, family and community service. In October 2014, Khalah Jah received the Brunei National Guru Cemerlang [Excellent Teacher] Award from His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

Khalah Jah is particularly concerned about the youths of today and is interested to share her varied experiences in parenting and counselling with young mothers. Her special area of interest is in Islamic Parenting as well giving motivational talks from the Islamic perspective.

Mr Aydarus Ahmad Alhabshi

Aydarus was a manager and teacher at Darul Furqan Education Centre from 1998 to 2007 before pursuing his studies at Dar Al-Mustafa in the blessed land of Tarim from 2008 til 2012. He returned to Singapore in 2012 and established the Sarang Café and Revamp (Enrichment Centre) at Bussorah street for the sake of reaching out to the youths on their turf. In 2014 he established Relite Events to facilitate the local wedding ceremonies in accordance with Islamic values, and also other services such as “Baby Showers”, Birthday celebrations, Housewarming, Tahlil, and others. He was approached to manage the Hajjah Fatimah Mosque in 2017 and served til 2021.

Aydarus is married with one daughter and he also has a foster son. Being very passionate about the youths, Aydarus “walks” with the youths and became an “Abang” to them. He has been giving motivational talks at his Revamp’s signature session “The Remind gig”, since 2013 - where supper and the Revamp-tea are served - all at no fees charged. He was also invited to conduct sharing sessions and workshops in Brunei and Kuala Lumpur and other local events by Darul Arqam, National University of Singapore - Muslim Society, Nanyang Technological University (TCT), Muslim Youth Forum and others.
