Shaykh Amin Buxton

Shaykh Amin Buxton is from the UK. Shaykh Amin converted to Islam in 1999 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the renowned School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS), London. He pursued further studies at the prestigious Darul Mustafa Institute of Islamic Sciences in Tarim, Hadramawt, learning from scholars of Tarim. Shaykh Amin is recognized for his contributions to English-language Da’wah in the methodology of the School of Hadramawt, serving as the main administrator and writer at Muwasala.org. He has translated numerous classical and contemporary Islamic works into English and authored "Imams of the Valley." He is involved in several educational initiatives including New to Islam Edinburgh and New Beginnings. He serves as a prison imam and as Muslim Chaplain at Edinburgh Napier University. He is currently training to be a counsellor.
