Supplications after Surah al-Waqi’ah

O Allah! Protect us with solvency, and do not humiliate us with poverty, and our request is that, we seek our livelihood from Your Sustenance, we seek (Your) Mercy from the evil of Your creation, we busy ourselves by praising those who give us, and we are tested through humiliation by those who withhold from us, while You are the true Causer behind all of that, the Owner of Giving and Withholding.

O Allah! As You have protected our faces from prostration (to others), except You, so protect us from being in need (of others), but You, with Your Generosity, Magnanimity and Bounty.

O the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. (3 times)

Enrich us with Your bounties rather than the bounties of others. And may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon our Master Muhammad, and upon his Family and his Companions.

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace upon our Master Muhammad, and upon the Family of our Master Muhammad, and grant us through him - may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him and his Family - from Your lawful, good and blessed sustenance, such that You can save us from turning to anyone of Your creation.

O Allah! Pave for us an easy way towards it, without any temptations, trials or human favours, and without following anyone (other than the Prophet), and keep us away, O Allah!, from the unlawful, wherever it is, and whenever it is, and with whosoever it is, and come between us and those who commit the unlawful, and safeguard us from their actions, and divert from us their faces and their hearts, so that we do not change except to that which pleases You; and we do not ask You of Your bounty, except for that which You are pleased and satisfied with, O the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

O Allah! If our sustenance is in the Heaven, then send it down (to us), and if it is in the earth, then extract it for us, and if it is difficult (to obtain), then make it easy for us (to obtain), and if it is far away, then bring it closer to us, and if it (the acquisition thereof) is forbidden, then purify it for us, and if it is little, then increase it for us, and if it is non-existent, then create it for us, and if it is suspended, then make it flow towards us. And if it (the acquisition thereof) is a sin, forgive it (the sin), and if it is a wrongdoing, erase it, and if it is an abominable act, then remove it, and if it is a mistake, then overlook it, and if it is a slip, then minimise it, and bless us in all of these, for You are the Owner of everything, the Creator of all power, and whatever You desire will be. O You Who, whenever You want something to be done, says: “Be, and it is.”

Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power Who is far above than what they attribute to Him; And peace be on the Messengers; And praise be to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds.
(Surah Al-Saffat (37), Verses 180-182)
